Katy is a traditional artist that sets up a canvas and easel and entertains guests by painting live weddings. Katy paints that special moment at your wedding. Something that can entertain the guest but also something you can hang on your wall and smile at everytime you walk by. Katy enjoys the entire process. Whether this means meeting with clients, arriving on the big day, creating her composition, deciding the color of the palette, and incorporating her clients wishes and visions into a work of art.
Katy offers live event painting as well as painting from photos of your special day. There are different priced packages all based on the size of the canvas and the number of guests included in the painting.
Katy has been painting professionally for over 5 years now. She is a member of Oil Painters of America as well as Ohio Plein Air Society. Two years ago Katy discovered live event painting and fell in love with it! Before the invention of the camera, it was common for artists to memorialize events through paintings. Katy stated that it is an honor to have a hand in reviving this timeless and skilled art form. She doesn’t consider this a job, she considers this as a calling.
In the end, food will be eaten by your guest, dresses will be put away after the big day, and pictures will be put away in albums or lost in your camera roll.
